Unfussy, unpretentious, spacious, clean, friendly, convenient, contemporary decor. Everything I needed and nothing I didnt. Good pillows, comfortable matress, choice of bedcover and extra blanket. Quiet and could make the room dark. Fresh milk and plenty of tea bags. I have recommended it as super value for money.
The fact that the hotel was new , facilities were modern, we had not stayed there before and it was convenient to our requirements
The rooms were very comfortable and well equiped for our stay. The service given by the reception staff and the housekeeping was excellent and welcoming. We did not use the restaurant or internet facilities, however the restaurant and bar/cafe area was often busy, which as someone who has lived in Launceston I take to be a sign of quality when there are many good cafes and restaurants very nearby. Thanks for a great stay on our return to Launie!
I booked 2 adjoining rooms, thinking that there would be an area big enough to be used as a common sitting area in one of the rooms, but alas just a common entry way.
Hotel was modern and comfortable. Bathroom was large, shower fantastic. Free movies and free internet. Breakfast was one of the best I have had. Also free parking. Both my husband thoughly enjoyed our stayThe fire in the foyer lounge was also a lovely touch.
That for some reason they put us as far away from the lift as you could get, even though the rooms in between seemed to be empty.
Very nice and clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
The Restaurant didnt have what we ordered, and then we waited nearly and hour for our meal, which was average, suppose to be pork with crackly but it had none. The lady who served us could have been a little friendlier. The following night we got takeaway.
Quiet, good service, great location, nice ambience, hassle free parking, lovely foyer and very funky decor. Relaxing and clean.Nice, comfortable bed.
Entry door to our rooms was faulty (which we were told about on our arrival). Slammed every time we went in or out..became very annoying. Handle on cupboard in the bathroom came off when I opened it. Just loved the funky foyer and wanted to share a wine we had brought for my friends birthday in front of the gas fire, but told we were not allowed to.I Suppose that maybe the law but it would have added to a better experience if we could have, rather than have to drink it in our roon.
The service within the restaurant was magnificent and the food was brilliant. As I will be a 6 weekly visitor to Launceston you will be my first choice.
Modern, quiet, large rooms, great staff willing to please.
free wifi in rooms would have been great
My patner is disabled and we found that the Hotel Charles did not just talk about the facility for disabled persons but it did really meet the demands of such persons well with plenty of room, well laid out bathroom facilities and ease of movement in and around the Hotel. The staff were most attentive.
Hotel is quiet, with very modern, large rooms. Beds exceptional.
Efficient and friendly reception staff were exceptionally attentive. The Hotel itself is bright and airy with all the facilities a business stayer needs. I stay in Launceston about 12 times a year and will certainly make this hotel my preference.
I enjoyed my stay but was very disappointed in the resturant. The meals were very ordinary.I Waited for my breakfast for close on 45 min. The wiatress had forgotten to put my order through. I could not help wondering if this was because I am a elderly woman staying on my own. This is agist and sexist and I was very annoyed. She did apologise and give me an extra cup of coffee.
Comfortable bed, large rooms, openable windows, balcony
Very clean, modern and comfortable room.
There was no one at the reception desk for over ten minutes and therefore we had to wait to check in.
Beautiful design, very good service.
Quite a long time waiting for a very simple dinner. The bathroom had a very bad smell coming up from the little hole on the floor ( I didnt complaint about it, just put a towell on it)
